The Instant Uplift, available from TescoWhatever the size, shape or style lingerie store shelves are filled with bras for every eventuality – from minimisers to cleavage-boosters, sports bras to strapless.

But for those in need of a bust boost, a new innovation could provide a much simpler answer.

The one-size fits all Instant Uplift bra, due to launch tomorrow at Tesco, allows the wearer to don their favourite lingerie but with the added advantage of an instant cleavage.

A simple band of fabric with straps, the Instant Uplift has no cups but instead sits just under the breasts and, along with its broad back strip, provides an instant lift.

Ranging from sizes 32A to 44C, this miraculous elastic can be worn with or without your day-to-day (or even posh evening) underwear and is even good for your posture.

Romney Drury, of Tesco, told the Daily Mail: "This is a unique concept – the first extra lift bra that sits under a favourite bra. There was a gap in the market for a bra to enhance a woman's breasts whatever the size.

"Most women have a favourite bra and now they can wear it with Instant Uplift fitted neatly and comfortably underneath without spoiling the way it looks."

Of course, with more straps to contend with and a double-helping of elastic around the torso, it remains to be seen whether women agree on the comfort aspect of the design, but at only £19 it's probably worth a try.
